Fish Curry Rice

This restaurant is tucked away in Gangadhar Apartment on Kelkar Road. We are in the Narayan Peth area, which is always busy. Being near Kanya School means there’s always a lot of activity around us. We focus on fish curry and rice because that’s what we grew up eating. It’s simple food. We don't put a lot of extra stuff in the gravy. The kitchen opens early to start the prep. My father used to say that the rice has to be just right or the whole meal is ruined. So we pay attention to that. The space isn't very large, but we make it work. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or work in the shops on Kelkar Road. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that. We just focus on the cooking. Sometimes the line gets a bit long at lunchtime. We try to move fast. It’s a bit of a squeeze when the place is full, but it’s a friendly vibe. We get our fish delivered every morning. If it's not good, we don't cook it that day. It's a straightforward way to run a business. We hope you feel comfortable when you visit. It's just us doing our thing in Pune. The Narayan Peth area has many narrow lanes, but Kelkar Road is easier to navigate. We've been in this building for several years now. We just stay focused on our pots and pans.
