Dimbale Vadewale

Dimbale Vadewale has been a part of Karve Nagar for a good while now. We aren't a fancy restaurant with menus and waiters. It’s more of a place where you stand around, grab your snack, and talk to your friends. The smell of frying oil and spices is pretty much always in the air around our spot. We start early in the morning, getting the batter ready and heating up the big vats of oil. Karve Nagar is a busy place, especially with students and people heading to work, so we have to be fast. Our counters are usually a bit sticky and the floor gets swept ten times a day, but that’s just how it goes when you’re serving food to a crowd. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want the food to taste the same every single time you come by. If the vada is hot and the chutney is spicy, then we’ve done our job right. We see the same people every morning, and we usually know what they want before they even say it. It’s hard work standing over the heat all day, especially in the summer, but we like the chatter of the customers. We’re just a local snack shop doing things the way they’ve always been done here in the neighborhood. We hope you like the taste of what we make every day.
