Corner Sweets & Snacks

Our shop is right at Kemps Corner, specifically units 14 and 15, if you’re looking for the numbers. We’ve been in Warje Malwadi for several years. It started as just a small counter for snacks, but we added the sweet section later on because everyone kept asking for it. The morning shift is always the most hectic. We have to get the frying done early so the savory stuff is ready for the office crowd. It gets hot in the back, especially during the summer months. We aren't trying to be some big fancy chain. We just open up, clean the counters, and start cooking. The display cases are usually full by ten in the morning. Sometimes we run out of the popular snacks by the afternoon, so it’s better to come early. We have a few stools for people to sit, but they’re mostly wobbly. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we opened. More buildings are going up every day. We know most of our regulars by their first names or just by what they usually order. If the tea is brewing, the whole place smells like ginger. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in when they're passing by. It’s a simple setup. We just focus on keeping the trays stocked and the floor swept as much as possible. Sometimes we get the orders mixed up when it's really busy, but we always fix it.
