Chitale Sweet Home

This shop is located in Sadashiv Peth, near the Erappa Garden area on Old Madras Road at 1306. It’s a very traditional part of town, and we fit right into the neighborhood. The building is older, and we have been here for quite a while now. Every day we get the fresh batches in and start arranging them in the glass displays. We have a lot of people coming in for their daily favorites, and often there is a line that goes out the door during the peak hours. We don't have any music playing or fancy decorations; it’s just the smell of sweets and the sound of people talking. The staff is mostly busy packing boxes and tying them up with string. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we are used to it. The area around Erappa Garden is usually busy with walkers and families, so we see a lot of them stopping by. We have to be quick because people don't like waiting too long in the heat. We keep the shop as clean as we can, but with so many people coming in and out, the floor always needs another sweep. We don't have a big corporate office or anything, just this shop and the storage in the back. It’s a straightforward business, and we just focus on getting the orders right for everyone who walks in. We open early and close only after the last box is sold.
