Chetana Sweets & Namkeen

Hadapsar is a busy spot, and being here at Chetana Sweets & Namkeen keeps us on our feet. We usually start the fryers early because the smell of the namkeen takes time to settle. The kitchen gets really hot by noon, and sometimes the fans don’t do much to help. We have these large jars lined up on the shelves, filled with different crunchy things. Some people come in and ask for just a small handful, while others want big bags for a party or something. We try to keep up, but sometimes the line gets long and people have to wait a bit while we weigh things out. The scale we use is old, but it works fine. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just food. We make it, we sell it, and we go home. In Hadapsar, everyone is in a hurry, so we try to be fast, but we aren't always perfect at it. The floors get a little greasy near the back where the cooking happens. We use a lot of oil every day. The namkeen stays fresh in the glass, and the sweets are mostly gone by evening. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a minute. It’s a regular shop with regular people working inside. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just us doing our best with what we have.
