If you go down to Sadashiv Peth 1, you will find us there. Chatkazz is basically a small spot where we put out plates of food for anyone who is hungry. It’s a very old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and it gets quite cramped during the afternoon lunch hour. We started this place because we liked eating this kind of stuff ourselves. We have a small kitchen area in the back where all the chopping happens. Usually, there is a lot of noise from the pans and people talking. We don't have a big menu. We just do a few things and try to get them right every time. Sometimes the spice levels are a bit higher than people expect, so we have to keep extra water or curd ready. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to close the shop for a day. We see a lot of students from the nearby colleges coming in with their bags. They usually stay for a long time just chatting. We don't mind as long as there is space for others to stand and eat. It’s a simple setup with a couple of tables and a water dispenser. We get our supplies from the local market every couple of days. It is just a regular place for regular people to grab a quick bite after work or during a break.
