If you are looking for us, we are right across from Sandeep Hotel in Shivaji Nagar. We are at Stall No 7. It is a small spot, basically just a stall, but we make it work for what we do. Shivaji Nagar is always crowded, so there is never really a quiet moment throughout the day. The noise from the street and the buses is constant. We start very early because farsan takes a lot of time to prep correctly. You have to get the oil hot and the mixtures ready before the morning rush begins. People walking to the bus stop or the nearby station often stop by to get a packet. We have our regulars who come every single day for their morning snacks. It is a bit cramped behind the counter, especially when we have all the fresh batches sitting out to cool down. We do not have a fancy sitting area or any tables. It is just over-the-counter service for people on the move. Most of our day is spent frying things or packing bags for customers who are in a big hurry. The heat from the stove is a lot during the afternoons, but we are used to it by now. We have seen the area around Sandeep Hotel change quite a bit over the years. New shops come and go, but we are still here at number seven. It is hard work and your hands always smell like spices, but it is a good life.
