Chandan Sweets Corner

We've been here on Delisle Road for quite a while now. Most people around Talwade know the spot. It isn't a huge place, just a regular shop where we make what we know. We start pretty early in the morning to get things ready before the rush. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky when it's busy, but that's just how it goes with sugar. We make different kinds of sweets every day. Some days we have more of one thing, other days it’s something else. It depends on what’s fresh or what people have been asking for lately. There's a bench outside if you want to sit for a minute, though it's usually crowded with people waiting. My uncle used to run things, but now a few of us manage the daily work. We don't do fancy packaging or anything. If you want a box of something, we just pack it up in the usual cardboard. The traffic on Delisle Road can be a headache in the evenings. If you're coming by then, it might take a bit longer to park. We try to keep the glass cases clean, but kids always leave fingerprints. It's a loud neighborhood, always something going on outside. We just keep the stove going and the trays full. Nothing special, just a shop for the folks living nearby. We just try to get the recipes right and keep the doors open for everyone who walks by.
