Chamunda Sweets

Chamunda Sweets sits right on Hadapsar Main Road where the traffic is always moving. It is a loud place because of all the buses and cars passing by but inside we try to keep things focused on the food. We have been at this location for a while and most of the people who live in Hadapsar know where to find us. Our day starts before the sun is up so we can get the fresh batches of sweets ready for the morning rush. The counters are packed with different trays and we have to keep moving them around as things sell out. We do a lot of packing and tying up boxes with thin string. It is hard work and the kitchen stays very hot especially in the summer months. We don't have any air conditioning so we just leave the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes off the main road. The staff is just a few local guys who know how to handle the pressure when it gets busy. We don't really do much advertising because being on the main road means people see us anyway. We focus on keeping the trays full and the floor clean even when it is dusty outside. It is a basic sweet shop and we do everything the old fashioned way without much help from technology. We just like seeing people enjoy what we make every day and that keeps us going.
