Chamunda Sweet Shop

Chamunda Sweet Shop is a local place we have on Lohegaon Kherwadi Lohagaon Roa. We spend most of our early mornings getting the sweets ready before the street gets too busy. It is a regular routine of mixing and cooking so the display cases are full for the day. The shop is a very simple place, nothing like those fancy sweet boutiques you might see in the big malls in the city. We have glass counters for the sweets and just enough space for customers to stand while they pick out what they want. It gets pretty warm in here because of the stoves in the back, but that is just how it is when you are making food all day. People in Lohegaon Kherwadi know us well by now. They come in for a quick snack or when they have a family celebration. We don't use any slick marketing or brochures to get people in. The smell of the sweets usually does the job well enough. Sometimes we run out of the popular items before the day is over, which can be a bit of a problem, but we only make what we can manage. We are just a small, family-run kind of place on Lohagaon Roa. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just show up, do the cooking, and serve the people who live in the neighborhood. It is a lot of hours on our feet, but we like being here.
