Chaitanya English Medium School

Chaitanya English Medium School sits at 588, Rasta Peth, which is a fairly busy part of Pune. If you know the area, you know there is always a lot of movement around here. The school building is tucked into the street, and we spend most of our time dealing with the usual day-to-day things that happen in a city school. There are desks to fix, lessons to get through, and a lot of noise when the kids are on their break. We have been in Rasta Peth for some time, so the local shopkeepers and residents are used to seeing the students in their uniforms every morning. The space inside isn't huge, but we make use of every corner for the classes. It gets pretty loud during the afternoon when everyone is trying to leave at the same time, but that’s just how it is in this part of Pune. We use English as the main way of teaching, so the kids get used to hearing it from the time they walk in the gate. It’s not a quiet place, especially with the traffic outside on the main road, but once the windows are shut, we get on with the teaching. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know the neighborhood well. It's just a regular school trying to do its job in a busy city setting without any extra fuss or polished appearances.
