Calcutta Sweet Mart

If you walk down 14th Main in Wanowarie, you’ll find us at Shop No 1 in the Oxford Blues building. We are right in the 2nd Block of Hanumantha Nagar, specifically in the Kedari Nagar area. Calcutta Sweet Mart is just a local shop. We spend our mornings getting everything ready. The smells from the kitchen usually fill up the street early on. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Being in Kedari Nagar means we get a lot of neighbors coming in for a quick bite. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us behind the counter. The shop is tucked into Oxford Blues, so it stays a bit cooler inside during the summer. We make sweets because that’s what we know how to do. Some days are busier than others, especially around the holidays when everyone is looking for something special. But mostly, it’s just the regular routine. We like the community here in Hanumantha Nagar. People are friendly and they know what they like. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. Calcutta Sweet Mart is just a place for sweets in Wanowarie. We keep the floor swept and the trays full. That’s the job. It’s been this way for a long time now. We just open up and wait for the first customer.
