Cafe Chokolade

You can find Cafe Chokolade tucked away behind the main strip on Fergusson College Road. We are at the 1st Cross, right at the back side of the Nawab building. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, which we actually quite like. It keeps things a bit more relaxed than the main road. Most of our customers are students from the nearby colleges who need a place to sit and talk. We serve a lot of chocolate drinks and snacks, nothing too complicated. The staff is mostly just us, trying to keep up with the orders when the classes let out. It gets pretty loud in here sometimes, but that’s the energy of FC Road for you. The shop isn't huge, just a few tables and some stools. We try to keep the floors swept, but with so many people coming in and out, it's a constant job. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything. We just put our sign out and hope people find us. It’s a nice little corner to be in. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s slow and just watch the people walking by in the alley. It’s a simple life running a cafe in this part of town, and we’re glad to be a small part of the student life here. We usually close up once the last group of friends finishes their drinks and heads home for the night.
