Mahavir Photo

Mahavir Photo is located right at 242 Budhwar Peth. We are on Shivaji Road, which is almost always packed with people and vehicles. If you know where the Datta Mandir is, we are directly opposite to it. This part of town is very old and has a lot of history. Our shop has been here through many changes in the neighborhood. We spend our time taking photos, printing them, and helping people with their camera needs. It’s a small place, but it holds a lot of memories for us and the locals. The light inside isn’t always great, but we make it work for the shots we take. Being across from the temple means we see a lot of activity every single day, from morning prayers to evening crowds. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just take pictures. Sometimes families come in for portraits, other times it’s just someone needing a quick photo for a document. We’ve seen the transition from film to digital right here in this shop on Shivaji Road. The street noise is constant, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We have been a part of the Budhwar Peth community for a long time now. It’s a simple life of capturing moments for the local folks. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just us and our cameras at number 242.
