I run my photography business out of Anandnagar and it’s mostly just me and my gear. The space here is where I keep all the cameras, lenses, and the computer I use for all the editing work. It isn't a massive professional studio with white walls everywhere, but it works for what I do. Most of my time is spent out on location anyway, taking photos of people or events, and then I come back here to look through hundreds of shots. My desk is usually a mess of memory cards and charging cables. It’s a lot of work that people don't see, like sitting for hours trying to get the colors right on a single image. Anandnagar is a nice enough place to be based, and I’ve lived around here for a while. I don't use any fancy marketing tricks to get clients; usually, someone just sees my work and gives me a call. I try to be honest about what I can do and what I can't. Sometimes the light isn't right or a shoot gets rained out, and you just have to deal with it. It’s a bit of a juggling act sometimes with the schedule between shooting and editing. I just like taking pictures and trying to make them look decent for the people who hire me. There is no big corporate structure here, just a guy with a camera doing his best to capture things as they happen. It is just real work.
