Bong Appetite

Bong Appetite is located in the Sulalkshmi Chamber, right at Gyaneshwar Paduka Chawk on LT Road in Deccan Gymkhana. It’s a busy part of town, especially around the Chawk. Our little kitchen is always smelling like spices and whatever we’ve got on the stove that day. We started this because we wanted to bring a bit of our own cooking to this corner of Pune. It’s not a massive restaurant with dozens of waiters. It’s a humble setup at 933, 1 A where we do most of the work ourselves. The space is a bit cramped during the lunch hour, and we sometimes have to ask people to wait a few minutes for a seat. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks to get people in. Most of our customers are folks who work in the nearby offices or live around Deccan Gymkhana. We try to keep the menu simple so we can handle everything properly. The walls have a few scuffs and the chairs might creak a little, but the atmosphere is honest. Working at Sulalkshmi Chamber has its challenges, like when the delivery bikes take up all the parking, but we make it work. It’s just a small food business doing its best to serve the neighborhood every day without any fuss or extra polish. We're happy to be here at the Chawk and we plan to stay.
