Bhawani Sweets

Down in Mundhwa, we have our little shop called Bhawani Sweets. It’s right on the main path where people walk to the bus stop. We’ve been here for a good while now. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. We make our sweets in small batches throughout the day. That way, nothing sits around for too long. You can usually see the steam coming from the back area where we have the big pots. My brother and I run the place together. We argue sometimes about how much sugar to add, but we always figure it out. It’s a family thing, after all. The Mundhwa area has gotten much noisier lately with all the new construction. We don't mind it too much though. More people means more people stopping in for a quick snack. We have a small bench outside where people can sit for a minute if they’re tired. It’s nothing fancy, just a wooden bench we painted ourselves. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. If people want to see what we have, they just have to walk in and look. We like talking to the people who come in. It makes the day go by faster. We’re just happy to be serving the local folks here and being part of the daily commute. It is a simple life and we enjoy it.
