Bengali Food Sweets

Our place, Bengali Food Sweets, is tucked away in Viman Nagar. To find us, you have to go to the 2nd floor, and we’re on the 5th cross of the 24th main in 3rd Phase 6. It’s a bit of a specific address, and sometimes people get a little lost trying to find the right floor. We’ve been here for a bit now, making traditional sweets every morning. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by the kitchen and the display cases. Viman Nagar is a busy area, but being on the second floor keeps us away from the direct noise of the street. We start early, usually before the sun is really up, because the milk and sugar take a long time to get right. It’s mostly just family working here. We don't use any fancy machines; it's all done by hand like it’s always been. The stairs can be a bit steep for some, but we have people coming up anyway for their favorites. We don't really do any big promotions or have a fancy website. People just find out about us from their friends or neighbors in the 3rd Phase. It’s a quiet life up here on the second floor. We just keep our heads down and focus on the cooking. Sometimes we talk about moving to a ground floor spot, but this place has become home to us over the years.
