Avinash Hagavane Sweet Shop

Avinash Hagavane Sweet Shop sits right on the NIBM Road in the Dhayari area. It is a bit of a trek from the main city but the road stays busy with people going to work. We have been making sweets here for a good amount of time. Every morning there is a lot of milk and sugar being moved around. The smell of the kitchen goes out into the street. It is a regular shop with glass counters where we put the different kinds of barfi and peda. We don't use any big machines, mostly just doing things by hand. The floors are tiled and we mop them twice a day because people bring in dust from the road. Dhayari has grown a lot lately so there are always new buildings going up nearby. We have a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and the frying. It gets hot in the back where the stoves are. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name on the board. People know where we are. We close up when the trays are empty or when it gets too late. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it is quiet and just watch the cars go by. It is just a local business like any other on this stretch of NIBM Road. We stay open until the street lights come on and the evening traffic starts to thin out.
