Atharva Snacks Cnetre

Atharva Snacks Cnetre is tucked away at Sinhagad Road Phatak Chawl 8. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when people are rushing to get to work. We have a big iron stove where we fry up the snacks. The oil sizzles all day long. The walls have some soot on them from the smoke, and the floor is a bit uneven because it’s an old building. We serve things on small paper plates that sometimes get a bit oily. There are a few benches where you can sit if they aren't already full. We don't have a big menu, just the things we know how to make. The tea is always boiling in a big pot on the side. We use a lot of ginger and sugar. Sometimes the orders get a bit mixed up when it’s crowded, but we fix it pretty quick. People from the chawl come in and out all the time. It’s a loud, lively place with a lot of shouting and laughing. We don't have air conditioning, just the breeze coming through the open front. Sinhagad Road is always noisy with traffic, and that noise comes right inside. We start cleaning up late in the evening when the snacks run out. It’s a lot of hard work and the heat from the stove is no joke. But we stay here because this is where we've always been. We just keep the stove hot and the tea ready for anyone who stops.
