Ashish Sureshchandra Billimoria

My name is Ashish Sureshchandra Billimoria, and you can find me over at 21 Subhash Industrial Estate in the Amraiwadi area of Ahmedabad. We also have some connections over toward Kubera Park on Kondwa Road. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud with trucks and machinery moving around. My spot is just a unit in the estate where I manage things. It’s not a place for window shopping. It’s more of a workspace where we get things done. I’ve been in this trade for quite a long time. The office is small and filled with ledgers and old files. There’s always a layer of dust from the factories nearby, but we don’t mind it much. We’ve got a small crew that helps out. We aren't interested in being a big corporation. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. Some days the heat in Ahmedabad is really something, so we have a couple of fans going non-stop. People come to us when they need help with industrial supplies or logistics in this part of town. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and checking shipments. It’s not glamorous at all. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. If you’re driving through Amraiwadi, you know how congested it can get. We’re right in the middle of all that activity. It’s just a normal day for us, trying to keep everything on track in the estate.
