Arya Snaks Point

If you’re driving down Hadapsar Sirsi Road, you’ll find us at number 8. Arya Snaks Point is a simple setup. We deal with a lot of travelers and people commuting for work. The traffic outside never really stops, so we have to stay alert. We keep the snacks ready in the glass display so people can just point and buy. Most of the time, I’m busy refilling the jars or making a fresh batch of pakoras. The oil needs to be just the right temperature or they don't turn out crunchy. We get a lot of truck drivers who stop for a quick tea and a cigarette. It’s a noisy spot with all the horns honking, but it’s home for us. My uncle started this place, and I’ve been helping out since I finished school. We don't have any fancy signs or lights. It’s just a counter and a few stools. Sometimes we run out of change, and I have to run to the next shop to get some coins. It’s these small things that keep us busy. On rainy days, the tea sells faster than we can make it. We don't use any special machines, just a basic gas stove and a lot of patience. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. People seem to like that we’re always here, no matter what time of day it is.
