architect's firm

Our place is called architect's firm, and we operate out of Number 4, Nathkrupa, which is part of the Sanket Society in Vedant Nagari, Karvenagar. Pune is a big place, but Karvenagar has its own local feel that we really enjoy. The office is basically just a few rooms where we keep all our drafting boards and project files. It’s not a shiny corporate office; it’s more of a working studio where things are a bit cluttered. We have pens, rulers, and scraps of paper everywhere because that’s how we work best. Being in a society like Sanket means we see our neighbors every day, and it feels more like a community than a business district. We spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors or sitting at the computer doing 3D models. The traffic in Karvenagar can be a bit much in the evenings, but inside Nathkrupa, we’re usually just focused on the task at hand. We don't have a fancy philosophy or a mission statement pinned to the wall. We just take the projects as they come and try to make sure the walls are straight and the roofs don't leak. It’s a lot of basic, everyday work—talking to people, drawing lines, and checking site measurements. We enjoy the process of seeing a drawing turn into a real building, even if it takes a lot of patience and extra hours.
