Angel High School & Jr College

Down on the Pune Solapur Road in Loni Kalbhor, that’s where you’ll find Angel High School & Jr College. We operate under the Om Education Society. It’s a bit of a drive out from the main city of Pune, but that gives us a bit more space. The building is fairly large because we have both the high school students and the junior college ones all under one roof. It gets pretty loud during the breaks, but we’re used to it. The staff room is usually full of papers and half-finished cups of tea. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We’re just local people teaching local kids. The road outside is always busy with trucks going toward Solapur, so there’s a bit of a hum in the background of the classes. We’ve had to fix the roof a couple of times after the monsoon, and the paint is peeling in a few corners, but the classrooms are good for learning. We don't bother with fancy slogans. We just open the gates every morning and do our best to get through the syllabus. Most of the families around Loni Kalbhor know us by now. It’s a straightforward school where we focus on the basics and try to keep things running smoothly for everyone involved. We just show up and do the work because the students need us to be there for them.
