Our shop is right under the Nathalal Zagadiya Bridge in Dhayari. It’s a bit of a noisy spot because of all the traffic overhead, but it works for us. We’ve been at this location for some time, setting up early in the morning to get the milk boiling and the sugar syrups ready. The 36926 area has a lot of people passing through, so we stay pretty busy. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working the counters and the kitchen. Sometimes the floor gets a little dusty from the road outside, so we’re always sweeping. We make the usual stuff like barfis and pedas every day. On festivals, it gets really crowded and we usually run out of space to put the boxes. We don't use any fancy machines, mostly just large pans and a lot of stirring by hand. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months. We try to keep things simple and fresh. Some days we make more than others depending on what we think people will want. If you’re driving past the bridge, you’ll probably see our sign. We keep the doors open all day. Sometimes we forget to turn the radio off when we leave. It’s just a normal neighborhood sweet shop where we know most of the kids who come in for a single piece of candy. It might not be the most modern place around, but we keep everything running as best as we can.
