Aatma Shanti Snacks Center

You can find us in Chinchwad, right near the PCMC School in Keshav Nagar, Chinchwad Gaon. It’s a busy little corner, especially when school lets out. The kids come running in for snacks, and it gets pretty loud for about an hour every afternoon. We do a lot of frying here. The smell of oil is basically stuck in my clothes at this point, but you get used to it. I start the stove early to get the batter ready. We make the usual stuff—samosas, vadas, and whatever else people are hungry for. The counter is usually covered in little bits of fried batter by the end of the day. My wife helps me with the prep work in the morning because doing it all alone is just too much. We don't have fancy menus or printed signs, just a chalkboard with what’s ready right now. The tea kettle is always boiling too. People stop by for a quick bite and a chat. Sometimes they complain about the heat or the rain, and I just listen while I hand them their plate. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, so the neighbors all know us. It isn't a glamorous job, standing over a hot stove all day, but it pays the bills and keeps the family going. We close up once the sun goes down and the street gets quiet. Then it’s just cleaning up and getting ready to do it all over again tomorrow.
