I Food Restaurant

If you are driving down NH 66 in Pondicherry, you might notice us. We are right at No 117 in Kamaraj Nagar, right across from the Volkswagen showroom. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you’re looking for a place to sit down and eat. We opened this place because we liked the idea of a simple restaurant on the highway where people could stop during their travels. The kitchen usually gets going early in the morning, and the smell of cooking starts drifting out toward the road. It’s not a five-star hotel or anything, just a regular spot with tables and chairs where the food is hot and the plates are full. We get a lot of locals from Kamaraj Nagar and also folks who are just passing through on their way to other parts of town. The staff here is mostly local people who have been with us for a bit. We don't really do fancy menus or complicated stuff. It is just the kind of food we like to eat ourselves. Some days are quieter than others, but when the lunch rush hits, it gets pretty loud and busy in here. We try to keep the place tidy, but with people coming and going all day, it's a constant job. You’ll usually find one of us near the front or back in the kitchen making sure things are moving along. It’s a decent life running a restaurant on the main road.
