St Joseph High School

Our school is out on Adityana Road in the Khapat area of Porbandar. It is a bit away from the main city center, which makes it a bit more peaceful for the students. The building has been here for a while, and it shows a little age, but it is sturdy and safe. We have the classes spread out across the floors. The wind from the coast sometimes brings in that salty air, which is very typical for Porbandar. Most of the kids come from the nearby residential patches or from the main town. We have a playground where they play cricket or football when the weather is not too hot. The classrooms have the standard benches and chairs. Nothing is overly modern, just practical stuff that gets the job done. Our teachers are regulars; they have been walking these halls for a long time now. You will see the staff room always busy with papers and tea cups. We follow the usual school calendar, with all the local holidays included. It is a simple life here. We ring the bell for assembly, and the day starts. No big advertisements or flashy signs outside our gate. Just a gate with the name on it and a path leading to the main office. It is a place where kids come to read their books and spend their day. We keep the gates shut during school hours for safety, and that is about it.
