M M V High School Mokar

M M V High School is out in Ranavav, which is a bit of a distance from the main part of Porbandar. It’s a simple school building that’s been standing for quite many years now. We serve the local families in the 360550 area, and most of the kids come from the nearby farms or the Mokar area. The building is just one story with a few classrooms and a small office where we keep all the paper records. We don't have any computers or fancy labs here. It's mostly just blackboards and old wooden desks that have been used by many students over time. The playground is just a patch of open ground where the kids play kabaddi or cricket during their break. It gets very dusty when the wind blows from the coast. We have a small group of teachers who have been living in this village for their whole lives. We follow the state board curriculum and try to get the kids through their exams every year. There isn't any big staff room, just a couple of chairs under a tree where we sit and talk during lunch. It’s a quiet life here and we just focus on the daily lessons. No one is trying to make it into a corporate school. It’s just a place for the village kids to get an education without having to travel too far away. We just do the work.
