Victoria Jubilee Madressa Boys High School

Victoria Jubilee Madressa Boys High School is located right on MG Road in Porbandar. It is an old building and you can really see the history in the walls if you look closely. Being situated on a main road means there is always some kind of activity happening around the entrance. We have boys coming from all over the local neighborhood every morning. The assembly time is usually when the place feels the most crowded and noisy. We do not have any fancy modern gadgets or anything like that in the rooms. It is just regular classrooms with wooden benches that have seen many years of use. Because it is a boys' school, it stays pretty loud during the breaks between classes. You can hear them running through the hallways or shouting out in the yard during lunch. Porbandar is a relatively small town, so most of the families here already know who we are. We have been a part of this landscape for a long time. The building itself needs some maintenance every now and then, which keeps us busy. Sometimes the paint starts peeling off or a window gets stuck and will not open. We just fix those things when we have the time and money. The teachers are mostly local folks who walk to work or come on their scooters. It is a very straightforward setup for everyone involved. They just come here to learn.
