To get to us, you have to take the turn towards Gokul Fatakda in the Vanana area of Ranavav. We are located in Porbandar district, which is a place with a lot of heart and history. Our school follows the CBSE curriculum, but we keep things very grounded and local. It is an English medium school, though you will hear a lot of Gujarati being spoken in the hallways and on the playground. The students come from the nearby villages and the town, often arriving on the school buses that navigate the local roads every morning. The classrooms are simple and functional, designed to keep the heat out during the hot Gujarat summers. We have a playground where the kids spend their energy during recess. The teachers are mostly people from this region who wanted to work in education close to home. They understand the challenges the students face and try to help them through their lessons without too much fuss. It is a quiet location compared to the main city, which makes it a good environment for the kids to focus. We have the usual subjects like math, science, and social studies, and the kids work hard to keep up with their CBSE requirements. There is a sense of community here because everyone knows everyone else’s family. We just focus on the daily task of running the school and making sure the children are showing up and doing their work.
