ZAYAKA TANDOOR HOUSE

ZAYAKA TANDOOR HOUSE is situated inside the Madho International Hotel on Mithapur Road. We are right in the Mithapur area of Patna, with the pincode 800001. Being inside a hotel like Madho International gives us a bit of a different vibe than a standalone shop. We also have Chanakya Law College nearby, which means we often see students or staff from the college walking around the area. Mithapur Road is one of those places that is always moving. There are buses, rickshaws, and people everywhere. Inside, we just focus on the tandoor and the kitchen. It gets pretty hot near the ovens, especially during a Patna summer, but that is the job. We don't have any fancy mission statements or big goals. We just show up at the hotel, get the fires started, and prepare the food for whoever comes through the door. It is a lot of manual work, lifting heavy sacks of flour or tending to the meat. Sometimes the hotel is full and we are running around like crazy, and other times it’s just the regulars from the neighborhood. We’ve been at this spot for a while and have gotten used to the rhythm of the road and the college schedule. It’s just a regular tandoor house doing regular work in a busy part of Patna. We try to keep things honest and just do our bit every day.
