We are tucked away at 29B Sahdeo Mahto Marg, right on Boring Road in Patna. Most people use the SBI ATM nearby as a landmark to find 29 Shanghai Express. We focus on Chinese food because that's what we know how to do well. It’s a small place, so it can feel a bit cramped when the lunch crowd arrives. We aren't trying to be a fancy five-star place. We just want to give people a good bowl of noodles or some fried rice without much trouble. The kitchen is always noisy with the sounds of woks and chopping. Sometimes the delivery bikes out front make a bit of a mess, but we try to keep it organized. Being in the 800001 area means we get a lot of students and office workers who are in a hurry. We try to get the food out fast, though occasionally there’s a wait when everyone shows up at once. It’s a busy street and there’s always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s just a regular local business run by people who live here.
