Ambar Restaurant & Sweets

You can find our place on Ashok Raj Path in Patna, right across from the Radha Krishna Mandir. We are also very close to the PMC Hospital, which means we see a lot of people who are either working at the hospital or visiting their relatives there. Our shop is a bit of a mix between a regular restaurant and a sweets corner. In the mornings, we are busy getting the fresh batches of sweets ready for the display cases. People come in to buy boxes of laddus or gulab jamuns to take as offerings to the mandir or just for their own homes. The restaurant side of the business picks up around lunchtime when the students and hospital staff come in for a quick meal. It’s a noisy, busy atmosphere, especially when the traffic on Ashok Raj Path is at its peak. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or air conditioning in every corner. It’s just a standard local eatery where you get your food and a glass of water without any delays. The kitchen is always on the go, and the smell of spices and frying sweets usually fills the whole street. We’ve been here for many years and have seen the city grow around us. We aren't looking to become a big chain; we are just happy serving the people who walk through our door every day. It is hard work, but we enjoy being part of the community.
