The Fountain Eats & Sweets

Operating out of Transport Nagar is definitely an experience. We are tucked away on Road Number 3, basically right behind the NRL petrol pump. You can usually smell the fumes from the trucks and the fuel while you’re walking up to the shop. Patna is a busy city, and this area is probably one of the most hectic parts of it. There are always big lorries moving around and drivers looking for a quick bite or some sweets to take home. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have our display cases for the sweets and a small area where we do the cooking. It’s not the kind of place where you’d expect a lot of quiet. There is always the sound of horns and engines in the background. We start pretty early in the morning to get the first batches done before the sun gets too high. It gets hot back in the kitchen, but we’re used to it by now. We don’t really do any fancy advertising or anything like that. Most of our regulars are just people who work in the transport offices or live around here. They know where we are. We just keep making the usual stuff day in and day out. Sometimes it feels like we are just a small part of the big machinery of Transport Nagar, and that is honestly fine with us.
