Soda Fountain & Milk Bar Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at East Gandhi Maidan in Patna. We are right beside the Mona Cinema Hall, which is a very old and well-known place. Because of the cinema, we get a lot of people coming in before or after their movie. Gandhi Maidan is a huge open space, so there are always people walking around or attending events there. Our shop has been here for a long time. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned place. We have a counter where we serve milkshakes and snacks. The interior isn't modern; it still has that older feel to it. We haven't changed much over the years. The chairs are the same ones we've had for a while. It’s a family-run business and we all chip in to help. My father used to run it, and now I handle most of the daily stuff. It gets very busy on weekends when families come out to the park and the cinema. Sometimes we run out of ice cream or certain flavors of milk, but we try to keep stocked up. It’s a simple life running a milk bar. We see the same faces every week, kids growing up and then bringing their own kids here. It makes us feel like we are a real part of the history of this area. We just keep the doors open and serve what we can. It’s not a complicated business, but it keeps us busy and the regulars seem happy enough.
