Shawarma Hut

We are located at Yadav Market, right by the New Bypass More in Anisabad. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite the Vijay Petrol Pump, which is a big landmark around here. The bypass is always full of trucks and cars, so it’s never really quiet. Shawarma Hut is just a small stall where we grill the meat and wrap it up for people who are passing through or living nearby. We start setting things up in the afternoon so everything is ready for the evening rush. That is when it really picks up. Most people just pull up their bikes and eat right there or take it home. The smell of the roasting chicken usually brings people in. It’s hot work standing by the grill all evening, especially during the Patna summers, but you get used to the heat. We don't have a big menu, just a few things we do over and over. I think it’s better that way so we don’t get confused when it gets crowded. Sometimes we run out of bread early if it’s a Friday or Saturday night. We try to guess how much we will need, but you can never be sure. The neighborhood is mostly workers and families looking for a quick bite that doesn’t cost too much. It’s a plain shop, nothing special to look at, but the food is honest. We put in long hours, but it’s good to see people enjoying a meal.
