Seasons Restaurant Cum Banquet Hall

Grand Plaza is a big building and we’re up on Shop 115 on the first floor. Frazer Road is where everything happens in Patna. Having a banquet hall and a restaurant in the same spot means things are usually pretty chaotic. One minute we’re serving lunch to a couple of guys, and the next we’re moving chairs for a wedding party or a birthday upstairs. We’re really close to Mamta Restaurant, so that’s the landmark we usually tell people when they are looking for us. It’s not a quiet place, but that’s just how this part of town is. We have to keep track of the bookings and make sure the kitchen is ready for both the walk-ins and the big groups in the hall. The first floor gets a bit of a breeze sometimes, but mostly it’s just the hum of the air conditioners and people talking. Working in a place like this, you learn to move fast. Patna can be hot, so people like coming in to sit for a bit in the shade. We don't have anything too fancy, just the space and the food. Managing a banquet hall takes a lot of coordination with the staff, making sure the decorations are right if someone asked for them. Most days it’s just about getting the tables set and waiting for the next group to arrive from the busy street below.
