Sandwich Parlour

If you know Patna, you know how crowded Maurya Lok Complex can get on a weekend or even a Tuesday evening. Our little spot, Sandwich Parlour, is right in the middle of all that noise. We are close to the Patna Dakbunglow Chaurha, so the sound of horns and people talking is something we hear from the moment we open the doors. It’s a lively area to be in, though it can be a bit much when the summer heat hits. We spend most of our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure the seating area is clean for whoever drops by. People come in after shopping or while they are waiting for someone nearby. We mostly just focus on the food and keeping the place running without too much fuss. There are days when the plumbing acts up or the delivery guys are late, but that is just part of running a business in this part of town. We’ve seen many shops come and go in this complex, but we just keep doing what we know. The chairs are a bit old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. It’s just a regular place where you can grab a bite and watch the world go by through the window. We close up once the crowds start to thin out and the shops in the complex begin to shutter.
