Roshis Lunch Box

Roshis Lunch Box is a small operation located in Nayatola Kadamkuan here in Patna. We are very close to P N Anglo School, so we see a lot of students and parents walking by every morning. Our address is right in the heart of Nayatola, which is a crowded and lively neighborhood. We spend most of our time in the kitchen preparing meals to go out in tiffin boxes. It starts very early when the vegetables arrive from the market. We don't have a big dining hall or anything like that because our main thing is packing food for people who are at work or school. The bags are lined up on the counters ready to be picked up or delivered. Sometimes the narrow lanes of Kadamkuan make it hard for the delivery cycles to get through, especially when it rains and the streets get muddy. We just do simple home-style cooking that people can eat every day without getting tired of it. It’s a lot of chopping, stirring, and washing dishes. The staff is just a few local people who know how to cook the way we do at home. We don't use any fancy machines, just regular stoves and big pots. It’s a bit noisy and hot in the kitchen, but that is just part of the job. We try to keep things organized so the right lunch box gets to the right person on time and everyone gets their food before the break is over.
