Raj Darbar Family Restaurant

You can find us over at Pandey Plaza on Exhibition Road. We are right across from the Big Bazaar, so it is a spot most people in Patna are familiar with. It gets really crowded on the weekends especially when families are out shopping and get hungry for a meal. This place was opened to give folks a spot to sit down and eat without a whole lot of fuss. The kitchen is always a bit of a mess during the lunch and dinner hours. You can hear the pans clanking and the cooks shouting orders back and forth to each other. We serve a lot of different dishes, mostly the stuff people around here like to eat on a regular basis. It is definitely not a quiet place. There is usually a lot of chatter from the tables and the sound of kids running around. Getting the food out while it’s still hot is our main focus. Sometimes when it is really packed, people have to wait a little while near the entrance, but we try to move things along as fast as we can. The floors get scuffed up from all the foot traffic, so someone is always mopping something. It has a family-run kind of feel, even if it gets a bit stressful when the line gets long outside. People leave with a full stomach and haven't spent too much, which is the goal. We have seen many families come in over the years.
