Kabab Mahal

We are based in Jagdevan Plaza, right in the heart of Kankarbagh. Patna is a very busy city, and this area is probably one of the most crowded parts of it. We have been at this location for a number of years now, operating out of a simple shop in the plaza. It’s not a very large place, just a kitchen and some basic seating for our customers. Most of the people who come in are locals who live nearby or folks working in the other shops in the plaza. We don't do anything special for marketing; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a long time. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, mostly prepping the ingredients every morning. It takes hours to get everything ready before we even start the day’s service. When the evening rush hits, the place can get a little disorganized, but we try to manage the best we can. We like being in Kankarbagh because there’s a real sense of community here. You get to know the regulars and hear their stories. We aren't trying to be a fancy establishment. We’re just a local business trying to do things the right way. It’s a lot of long hours and hard work, but we are happy to be here in our corner of Jagdevan Plaza.
