City Foods is found at B 2, Shiv Laxmi Plaza, which is on the Kankarbagh Main Road in Patna. We are in a pretty convenient spot, right near the Rajendra Nagar Terminal and just below the Reliance Footprints store. Being in Kankarbagh means there is always a lot going on right outside our doors. People are usually rushing to catch a train or finishing up their shopping at the plaza. We started this place to give people a spot to grab a meal without it being a big production. It’s a simple restaurant in a busy shopping area. The 800020 zip code is one of the busiest parts of Patna, and we like being in the thick of it. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that; we just open the doors and start cooking. The staff is mostly local guys who know the area well. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when the terminal is busy, but we do our best to find everyone a seat. We keep the menu straightforward because that’s what people around here seem to want. It’s just a regular place to eat, nothing more and nothing less. If you’re around the plaza or coming from the station, you’ve probably seen us there. We just keep at it, day in and day out, serving the neighborhood folks who need a meal.
