CHAWLAS LAKHU THE DHABA is located on Fraser Road in Patna, right inside Grad Plaza. If you are standing across from Dumrao, you can see us. It’s a loud area because Fraser Road is always packed with traffic and people walking by at all hours. We try to keep that dhaba feeling even though we are inside a plaza. The tables are basic and the chairs are meant for sitting, not for lounging around for hours. We get a lot of office workers and locals who want something to eat without any fuss. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of metal pans hitting the burners. We start early to get the lentils and vegetables prepped for the day. Sometimes the delivery guys are rushing in and out, which adds to the general chaos of the place. It’s not a quiet place by any means. We’ve had the same cooks for a long time, and they know how to handle the rush when it gets really busy in the afternoon. Patna is a busy city, and our spot reflects that energy. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the food is hot and the customers have a place to sit. We focus on the daily tasks, cleaning up after the lunch crowd, and getting ready for the next wave of people. We just keep doing what we know in our little corner of Fraser Road.
