We’re set up in Samastipur, right in Ward 8 of the Tajpur block. The business is run out of Rasmuni Devi’s place in Ahar. It’s a local spot, nothing like those big corporate food factories you see in the city. We focus on making things that people around here actually like to eat. A lot of our day is spent in the kitchen area, grinding spices or packing up the snacks we make. It’s a small team of us, mostly neighbors and family. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything fancy like that. We just put the food in bags and jars and hope people enjoy the taste. Samastipur gets really hot in the summer, which makes working near the stoves pretty tough. We drink a lot of water and take breaks when we can. The road outside can get dusty when the tractors go by, but it’s a good place to be. We get our ingredients from the local markets nearby because we know what’s fresh. It’s a lot of manual labor, cleaning the grains and making sure everything is sorted right. We aren't looking to expand into some giant empire. We just like having a steady job and making food that reminds us of home. Sometimes we make a mess and have to spend the whole evening scrubbing the floors, but that’s just how it is. It's a simple, practical life we have out here in Samastipur.
