Biryani Darbar

Biryani Darbar is located in the BNR Complex in Patna City. This area, Guzri Bazar, is very old and the streets are very narrow. It’s near Oriental College in Sadikpur, so we get a lot of students and teachers coming in. The building is old and has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit steep. We’ve been here in this part of Patna City for a long time. It’s a very traditional neighborhood. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that hum all day long. The kitchen is in the back and it gets quite hot, but we are used to it. We serve our food on simple plates. There’s no garnish or decoration, just the food itself. We start our day early to get the meat and rice ready before the market gets too crowded. Dealing with the suppliers in Guzri Bazar is a daily task that takes a lot of talking. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have worked together for years. We know most of our customers by name. It’s a noisy, busy place but it has a good heart. We don’t use any computers for our billing, just a simple notebook and a pen. It might seem old-fashioned to some, but it works for us.
