Baba Caterer & Cooking

You can find us at G 123 in P C Colony. We are right beside the Apollo Centre in Kankarbagh. Baba Caterer & Cooking has been running from this same spot for a long time now. The building is not anything special to look at from the outside but it is where we do all our daily work. Kankarbagh is always a busy place and being near the centre means there are always people walking by. We spend our days mostly in the kitchen area. It is a lot of peeling potatoes and making sure the spice mix is just right. We have a small team of cooks who have been working with us for many years. We don't have a corporate structure or anything like that. It is just us and our big pots. Sometimes the street outside gets flooded when it rains really hard and we have to move things to higher ground. That is just part of living in this part of town. People usually just drop by our shop to talk about what food they need for their parties. The ceiling fan in the office makes a clicking sound when it’s on high. We just ignore it now. We have a lot of regular customers who stop by just to say hello even when they don't need food. We write everything down in a big ledger we keep on the desk. It works for us.
