Raikishari Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Vill Poagradwip, which is part of the Bardhaman district. We use Sufal Sarkar’s place as our main point of contact for anything official. It’s a quiet village, and most of us have lived here our whole lives. We decided to form this company because we felt like we could do more for ourselves if we worked together. It isn’t a corporate office with computers and air conditioning. We mostly just meet on the porch or in the front room to talk about our crops. Bardhaman is known for its farming, so there’s always something to do. Whether it’s talking about the irrigation or trying to figure out where to buy the next load of seeds, there’s never a dull moment. We don't have a big marketing budget or anyone to write fancy reports. Usually, we just keep notes in a notebook and hope for the best with the weather. It’s an honest way to live, even if the money isn't always great. We’re just local people, friends and neighbors, trying to make the most of the land we have. We don't hide behind big titles; we're just farmers who wanted to try something a little different to help the community stay afloat.
