It’s a local operation, run by people who live right here in the area. We aren't some big city business. We are just farmers who realized that working as a group makes more sense than trying to do everything on our own. Satya Sarkar and Sashodhar Roy are both involved in keeping things running. We don't have fancy office furniture. We mostly have stacks of bags and some simple ledgers to keep track of what we are doing. Farming around Salkumar Hat is what we know best. We deal with the crops that grow in this soil and try to make sure everyone gets a fair cut of the profits. It’s a lot of physical labor, day in and day out. Sometimes we are up before the sun to get to the fields, and we stay late to finish the work. We aren't trying to sell you a dream or anything like that. We just want to keep our farms going and provide for our families. It’s a practical way of living.
