Koch Kunda Agro Farming Private Limited is located at Ra-26, Urbashi Ph-II in the Bengal Ambuja area of Durgapur. It is a bit different here than in the deep countryside. We handle the business side and the farming side from this spot. Bankura soil can be really tough. It gets incredibly dry in the summer and the heat is something you wouldn't believe. We spend a lot of time looking at the sky, just waiting for the clouds to show up. In Durgapur, things move a bit faster than the village, but when you are dealing with seeds and plants, you still have to wait on nature. We have our small space here where we organize all the moving parts. It is not a polished corporate setup, just a few desks and a lot of paperwork about the harvests. We try to bridge the gap between the rural fields and the town markets. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and talk about how things used to be. My cousin helps out with the transport and we have a few guys who know the land like the back of their hands. It is practical, everyday work. We are not here to make big promises, just to make sure the food gets grown and moved so everyone has what they need. The traffic in the city can be a real headache when we are trying to move the produce, but we manage somehow.
